1990: THE BRONX WARRIORS

                                TRIVIA

* Mark Gregory was only 17 when this film was made. He was "discovered" by Enzo Castellari in a gym and offered the part of Trash.

* Scenes filmed in Italy (doubling for the Bronx) where the Riders fight the Zombies and Anne is later kidnapped proved treacherous for riding motorcycles. Both Rocco Lero (Paul) and Mark Gregory came a cropper on the loosely packed sand. Ice (John Sinclair) had his tumble kept in the movie (as he's chasing Blade).

* Permission was not given for the streets to be closed down during filming. This is why traffic is proceeding in a perfectly orderly fashion, cars are parked untouched and shops are open. All in a supposedly lawless "No Man's Land".

* Fred Williamson's nickname is The Hammer which is the name of Vic Morrow's character in this movie.

* Massimo Vanni, Enio Girolami and Enzo Castellari appear in both Bronx Warriors movies in different roles.

* Filmed in New York during the premiere of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan the Barbarian, to which Enzo, Mark and the crew were invited.

* Real Hell's Angels were involved in the movie and apparently found Mark Gregory's infamous strut hysterically amusing.

* Mark Gregory was unable to speak English and was coached on set. This coupled with the post-dubbing goes a long way to excusing his rather wooden delivery.

* One of the highest grossing movies of 1983. Stayed at the top of the American Billboard charts for 6 weeks.

 * There is a spelling mistake in the opening written explanation about the police abandoning the Bronx to the gangs. Can you spot it? Answers on a postcard.
